House “Fall From Grace”

The last few weeks of House have been pretty strange. Not that HE isn’t always a little strange but the past few weeks have been more so. But this week has had some questioning whether or not the show has “jumped the shark.” My first instinct is NO. And here’s why.

The truth is that character of Gregory House has always be unpredictable and quirky. By making him inherently unstable, nothing he does can be considered “out of character”. Basically everything he could possibly do in the whole history of the series has been justified before it even happens. Genius, right?

So when House marries out of the blue to help a girl get her green card or to make Cuddy mad or for any list of reasons, it’s not jumping the shark…it’s just his continuous character flaw making another appearance.

And Wilson is so good at reading Cuddy. Not only does he know that she’s guilty over “breaking” House but also heartbroken by his appearance of moving on so quickly. Finally telling him no reminded not only the audience but herself who she is and has been for House. He needs someone to tell him no and finally she’s gotten over her guilt to do it.

  1. This show is definitely jumping the shark. The whole House-Cuddy thing, House getting married, the show where they were doing the cabaret singing, and now House somehow gets a monster truck and drives the crew around while they discuss the case?
Wow, it’s really getting hard to watch, sorry.
