SHOWRUNNERS Doc features heads of CASTLE, FRINGE, BONES, and more

For most TV lovers, what happens before your favorite show airs is a mystery. But a new film seeks to change that. SHOWRUNNERS is a new documentary that takes viewers behind- the-scenes of their favorite shows with showrunners (the people that run the show!) like Joss Whedon (ANGEL, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, FIREFLY, DOLLHOUSE), Damon Lindelof (LOST), Terence Winter (BOARDWALK EMPIRE), Bill Prady (THE BIG BANG THEORY), Hart Hanson (BONES), J.J. Abrams (ALIAS, FRINGE, FELICITY, REVOLUTION) and tons more.

The film also features several prominent women in television such as Jane Espenson (BSG, GAME OF THRONES, ONCE UPON A TIME, HUSBANDS), Janet Tamaro (RIZZOLI & ISLES), Michelle King (THE GOOD WIFE), Dee Johnson (BOSS), plus females in other roles such as writers and actors.

The film is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to finish funding. So far, they’ve raised around $20,000 of the $80,000 goal with several rewards available ranging from access to a behind-the-scenes Instagram account, to a copy of the film, to a chance to attend the premiere in Los Angeles with some of the Showrunners possibly in attendance. Check out the trailer below and consider donating to this film, which should have TV lovers everywhere jumping to get it made!

Heather
Heather is a recent West Coast transplant and can't remember what humidity feels like. She spends most of her time (& money) watching movies, marathoning TV shows on DVD, attending concerts, reading, eating vegetables, attending conventions (San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Dragon*Con so far!), blogging about her quarter-life crisis, downing coffee and traveling the world. She likes comic books, photography, reading on the Metro bus and wearing cold weather clothes despite the actual temperature in Southern California.
