Veronica Mars Movie: It could happen if you back it!

A lot of us here at The TV Sisters are BIG fans of Veronica Mars. In fact, Brittany and Yonas legitimately list it as their favorite show of all time. (Which means A LOT coming from them). Like every cult TV show that ends, a movie is all fans can talk about. And since Veronica Mars ended in 2007, fans have been trying to rally for it. Even the creative team (actors and writers) of the show have shown support for a film. But now it could all happen.

The team of Mars Investigations (aka the cast and crew) has put together a Kickstarter to raise a whopping $2 million in the next 30 days. Of course, this is actually a low-budget when it comes to filmmaking. With awesome rewards that span from a T-shirt ($25) to attending the LA premiere and after-party ($1000), I can’t help but assume this project will be funded with time to spare. (At the time of this post, the project has raised over $700,000 in less than a day. Add in that I have a 100% fund rate on Kickstarter and it’s pretty much a sure thing.)

So make your pledges and put January 2014 on your calendar!

Heather is a recent West Coast transplant and can't remember what humidity feels like. She spends most of her time (& money) watching movies, marathoning TV shows on DVD, attending concerts, reading, eating vegetables, attending conventions (San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Dragon*Con so far!), blogging about her quarter-life crisis, downing coffee and traveling the world. She likes comic books, photography, reading on the Metro bus and wearing cold weather clothes despite the actual temperature in Southern California.
