Running Wilde “Pilot”

There are a few reasons why I might watch a new show. 1- The previews are intriguing (ex: THE EVENT) 2- I love one or more of the actors in it (ex: RUNNING WILDE).

I love Will Arnett and know that anything he does will be entertaining. And while the pilot of RUNNING WILDE was entertaining, it’s impossible for me to tell whether or not the show will keep bringing the funny. The pilot consisted of setting up the plot: Woman (Keri Russel) and daughter, who doesn’t speak, live in the Amazon but return to her hometown to attend a humanitarian award ceremony. Enter wealthy, spoiled ex-boyfriend of woman (Will Arnett) who is determined to win woman back by becoming selfless. Woman’s daughter pleads with man to let them stay because she doesn’t want to go back to the Amazon. Man agrees. Woman eventually agrees. The end.

Heather is a recent West Coast transplant and can't remember what humidity feels like. She spends most of her time (& money) watching movies, marathoning TV shows on DVD, attending concerts, reading, eating vegetables, attending conventions (San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Dragon*Con so far!), blogging about her quarter-life crisis, downing coffee and traveling the world. She likes comic books, photography, reading on the Metro bus and wearing cold weather clothes despite the actual temperature in Southern California.
